On October 29th, the Cornwall Manufacturers Group held awards ceremony recognized the excellence among the manufacturers and plastic injection moulding companies of all sizes. Swapping the board at this year’s Cornwall Manufacturing Awards, we continued to celebrate at Polymermedics the achievements our company has made.

Our St. Austell-based technical injection moulder was proudly nominated in three categories and claimed the Community Engagement and Environmental Project of the Year awards, while, our co-worker Lauren Tregiglas was crowned as a Trainee of the Year for her high achievements and persistent work. We had the feeling that we would leave the ceremony with one award, but who could expect to get all three; that was a terrific surprise and honor.

Later, Ken Martin, CMG Secretary and awards organiser, said: “The successes of Polymermedics is a wonderful accomplishment. The company is hugely supportive of the Group and has been frequently featured in our school programs to connect with manufacturing companies.”

Technical injection moulding is the first and foremost specialization of our company, yet Polymermedics’ awards recognised the company’s ongoing work to rebuild a local scout cabin. The jury was impressed with an immense progress of recycling processes. As for Lauren, her unprecedented growth from reception-desk administrator to Human Resources lynchpin in just 18 months has stolen the show. Lauren’s recognition and award in her category was a particularly special moment for all of us. We are extremely proud of her and everything she’s achieved.
Future accomplishments to come
We were especially happy each and everyone; it’s great that all our hard work has been recognized. This ceremony has become a focal point this last autumn. Such events serve as an inspiration for our specialists and we look forward to even more productive years ahead.
